Your donations make all the difference

Since 2002, Joan Karff’s Women on the Way Up has provided over $225,000 to support its graduates as they start college. Whether they matriculate at a local community college or an elite Ivy, these girls have learned how to navigate themselves and focus on educational goals as they embark on their next stage of life.

Regardless of the paths these women choose, these are truly women on the way up who are making the most of what has been given to them and who will make positive impacts within their communities and beyond.

Helping girls envision a path to success as adults

Underserved but promising students may have difficulty envisioning a path to success as adults; it’s wonderful to know that we’ve helped so many young women focus on the positives and keep moving forward with each opportunity that is presented to them.  Some have gone on to earn graduate degrees, others have gone straight into the workforce.  Our alumnae are pursuing careers in the fields of law, finance, nursing, and education, just to name a few.  Some have even taken the entrepreneurial route and started their own businesses.
